Environment
Glyn Abbey Golf Club has a positive
environmental policy and makes the most of all the natural features
and abundance of local wildlife, taking great care to preserve and
protect habitats.
Set around the historic Trimsaran Wood and in over 200 acres of
undulating parkland, Glyn Abbey provides the perfect setting for
all manner of wildlife. There are Buzzards, Grouse, Hawks, Pheasants,
Hares, Badgers, Foxes and many more all happily sharing the Golf
course with you.
Rare species of butterfly and flora have been sighted around both
the main course and the planned academy course. Bring your spotters
book with your clubs!
Taking the woodland walk between the 10th green and 11th tee allows you to take-in the natural environment in which Glyn Abbey is located. With a wide variety of tree and plant species, plus an array of birds and wildlife, this short walk is an ecologist’s idyll and a golfers chance to forget the poor shots and concentrate on the positive.
